Terms of Service
These Terms are a contract between you and [studii / legal entity] ("studii", "we", "us") governing your use of the studii app and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use studii. If you are 13–17, you may use studii only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. The Service is offered in the United States.
2. The Service
studii provides AI-assisted study tools — including question answering with citations, quiz and study-guide generation, a guided tutor, and a study organizer. studii is an educational study aid only. It is not professional, medical, legal, financial, or other expert advice.
3. Your account
You're responsible for your account and for activity under it. Keep your credentials secure and give us accurate information (including a truthful date of birth). You may use studii anonymously, but some features and data portability work best with an account.
4. AI-generated content — important
studii's answers and study materials are generated by AI and may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on, especially for graded work, exams, or any important decision. studii does not guarantee any academic outcome. Do not use studii to violate your school's academic-integrity rules; how you use generated material is your responsibility.
5. Your content and the license you give us
You keep all rights to the notes, files, recordings, and other material you upload or create ("Your Content"). To run the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and transform Your Content solely to provide studii's features to you (e.g. extracting text, generating study materials, and sending the necessary parts to our AI providers — see the Privacy Policy). We do not sell Your Content or use it to train third-party AI models, and we do not publish or redistribute it.
You represent that you have the rights to the content you upload and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights or violate any law.
6. Scanning books and apps — personal study only
studii lets you scan or paste an example question (e.g. from a textbook or another app) to generate similar practice questions in the same style. This is for your personal study only. You may not use it to copy, reproduce, or redistribute copyrighted material, and you must have the right to use any material you scan. studii does not store or share scanned source material for redistribution.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: break the law; infringe IP or privacy rights; upload malware or attempt to breach, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service; abuse free trials or promotions (e.g. by creating multiple accounts to evade limits); impersonate others; or upload content that is illegal or that you have no right to upload. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Subscriptions, purchases, and trials
Some features may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. When enabled, purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are governed by those stores' terms; billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by the applicable store. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew until cancelled; manage or cancel in your App Store / Google Play account settings. Free trials, where offered, are limited per user; we may modify or end promotions at any time.
Confirm refund/cancellation disclosures match each store's required language; prices to be finalized.9. Reporting content; copyright (DMCA)
You can report AI output or other content in-app. If you believe content infringes your copyright, send a notice to [[email protected]] with the information required by the DMCA (17 U.S.C. §512). We respond to valid notices and may remove content and terminate repeat infringers.

studii, its name, logo, software, and design are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any rights in our IP except the limited right to use the Service.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, studii WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA OR PROFITS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF [the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months] OR [US$50].

You agree to indemnify and hold studii harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any law.
14. Termination
You may stop using studii and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. content license limits, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
